As a Security Officer Chemical Access Control in Texas City, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a chemical and petrochemical location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and controlling entry and exit points, conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, and remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will regularly interact with employees, contractors, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the location by verifying identification, credentials, and/or visitor logs in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and security-related incidents.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures for chemical and petrochemical environments.
• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by addressing questions and assisting with access procedures.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incident reports, and access control logs as required by site policies.
• Follow all emergency response protocols and assist with evacuation or other procedures as directed by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
