As a Security Officer - Education Patrol Shift in Castle Hayne, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at an educational location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols of the premises, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence, and providing outstanding customer service to staff, students, and visitors. You will also be responsible for using a vehicle to patrol the campus, as this is a driving post. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and surrounding areas to help to deter unauthorized activities and promote a secure environment.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or conditions that may impact the location.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry points as required by site-specific procedures.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management and site contacts regarding incidents, issues, or concerns.
• Support emergency procedures and protocols as needed, providing assistance to campus personnel and visitors during critical situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license and meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
