Role Summary

As a Warehouse Supervisor, you are responsible for the daily organization, training, and coaching of Service Parts warehouse associates. You will promote safe working behaviors, help develop quality focused processes, maintain organized cleanliness, and continuously strive for improvement opportunities. This role will require strong
leadership skills and the ability to provide the appropriate resources for their team to be successful with a strong focus on providing premium customer service. The Warehouse Supervisor will report to our Sr. Manager, Warehouse Operations and will be required to work onsite at our facility daily.


Responsibilities

  • Fosters an environment in which safety is the highest priority, and coach safe
    powered equipment and material handling practices
  • Manage a team of warehouse associates to support facility objectives
  • Train, develop, and coach warehouse associates on standard work and confirm their adherence
  • Partner with external stakeholders to investigate, create, and implement actions to further standardize and elevate the network
  • Maintains an organized warehouse operation that focuses on housekeeping
  • standards and applies 5S principles
  • Utilize SAP EWM to manage all warehouse activities
  • Maintain standard work documentation, training, attendance, overtime, and process adherence
  • Perform 5 Why analysis with warehouse associates to root cause gaps
  • Identify best practices, process changes, operational issues/concerns, and general improvement opportunities
  • Help build a team to support inbound, storage, repackaging, and outbound requirements
  • Collaborate with other members of management to ensure the warehouse associates are dispatched appropriately to meet all business needs including inbound, outbound, inventory, kitting, and repacking daily requirements

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations and distribution
  • 3+ years of experience managing and leading a staff in a warehouse environment
  • Preferred BS/BA in Supply Chain, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong collaborator, with willingness to drive change cross functionally and experience in implementing continuous improvement project initiatives
  • SAP WM or EWM experience (a plus)
  • Understanding of Dangerous Goods shipping requirements
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities
  • Previous stand-up forklift experience and ability to operate up to seven hours per day (Stand-Up Raymond MHE preferred)
  • Physical requirement to step-up and down off of MHE multiple times repetitively
  • Comfortable with operating an order picker (Cherry Picker) above floor level
  • Ability to stand for 8-12 hours per day
  • Frequent use of hands to handle cumbersome or odd-shaped materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Required to stoop and kneel to retrieve materials up to 50 lbs. under select racking or floor pile locations
  • Required to communicate using telephone or email
  • Ability to view, read, and interpret documents, safety rules, and standard operating procedures
  • Ability to repetitively lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform all duties in the warehouse that may contain dust, high noise, hot and cold weather
  • Commitment to work a flexible schedule, requiring individuals to arrive early or to stay later than assigned standard working hours; accommodating the business as needed
  • Commitment to working a flexible work schedule
