Press Assistant

Staffmark is seeking a Press Assistant to support printing press operations for a well-established production facility. If you're a reliable team player with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn, this hands-on role is a great opportunity to grow within the print production industry.

Pay: $17.75 - $18.75/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Assist Press Operator during setup, run, and cleanup of the press
• Keep press stocked with necessary supplies (blanket wash, roller wash, rags, etc.)
• Clean press components such as blankets and rollers during operation
• Perform basic preventive maintenance (lubrication, small part replacement, roller adjustments)
• Help manage printed stock, including airing up and organizing for second passes
• Safely handle and dispose of chemicals per safety guidelines (MSDS familiarity required)
• Keep press area clean and organized
• Learn feeder duties to support workflow flexibility
• Follow direction from Press Operator and Shift Supervisor

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Willingness to learn new skills and take direction
