Lab Technician

Ecolab, the leading global developer of premium cleaning, sanitizing and maintenance products and services for the hospitality, institutional andindustrial marketsis seeking a Lab Technician! This role is responsible for making measurements, performing routine quantitative and qualitative biological and chemical analytical tests, researching technical literature, and evaluating old processes.

What You Will Do:

• Responsible for all steps of routine experimentation, including sample prep, equipment orientation, instrument control, data processing, and analysis
• Approves, holds, and/or rejects products based on laboratory analysis versus specifications
• Ensures compliance with current regulatory requirements, following GMP guidelines for data reporting, preparation of validation protocols, raw data generation, and final reports
• Provides analytical and technical support for quality-related product investigations
• Optimizes and recommends lab improvements to support 5S initiatives
• Other duties as assigned

Position Details:

• Location: Ellwood City, PA
• Work Week/Shift: Monday - Friday, rotating through 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts (11PM - 7AM, 3PM - 11PM, 7AM - 3PM)
• Compensation: $27.00 / hour

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate degree inChemistry, an applied science, or related technical discipline
• 1 year of Laboratory Technician experience or closely related experience
• 1 year of experience working in manufacturing
• No Immigration Sponsorship availablefor this opportunity

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to pass a drug screenand physical exam

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong background in scientific skills and lab analysis
• Experience working with/supporting ISO 9001 regulations
• Must be familiar with laboratory safety procedures/regulations
• Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills
