POSITION SUMMARY:

A Professional Development Provider Coach is an individual in the local Early Steps (LES) program that is implementing professional development on Florida Embedded Practices and Intervention with Caregivers (FL-EPIC). This individual is responsible for coaching Early Steps providers to implement home visiting practices and embedded interventions with families, as well as collecting associated coaching and child and family outcome data. This individual collaborates with the Lead Implementation Coach (LIC) at the local Early Steps (LES) site to ensure fidelity of implementation of FL-EPIC ESPD and other aligned professional development activities within the LES program.

Shift: Day Shift, 40 Hours Per Week
Location: Saint Petersburg, FL

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:



  • Co-facilitate Early Steps provider workshops related to the FL-EPIC home visiting practices and embedded intervention focused on social-emotional practices aligned with the Pyramid Model
  • Provide ongoing coaching to providers to support their implementation of FL-EPIC practices
  • Determine and implement ongoing sustainability coaching and professional supports needed by providers based on their fidelity of implementation of FL-EPIC ESPD practices
  • Participate in weekly or bi-weekly meetings with the site administrator, LIC, and other provider coach(es), if applicable, to coordinate implementation of FL-EPIC ESPD and other aligned professional development activities
  • Collect coaching implementation fidelity data from coaching sessions with Early Steps providers.
  • Provide technical assistance to providers to support their collection of home visiting data and the transfer of data using the coaching platform.



QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college or university in a field relevant to Part C service delivery, preferably psychology, social work, health education, interdisciplinary sociology, early childhood, child development or special education
  • Advanced knowledge about Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and the FL Early Steps program
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience providing early intervention services to families and children birth to age 3 in natural environments
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working with adult learners
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated strength in organization and timeliness in meeting deadlines
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience designing, delivering, and evaluating professional development
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience coaching, consulting, or mentoring practitioners or families
  • Advanced knowledge using software applications, electronic file sharing applications and other technology (e.g., video cameras, computers, tablets)
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience collecting and analyzing professional development implementation and family and child outcome data


Salary Range: Minimum /hour - Maximum /hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
