What You'll Do: As Product Manager of the Developer Enablement domain within Platform Engineering, you will be responsible for the strategy, roadmap, and execution of platform products that accelerate developer productivity and enable self-service capabilities across the organization. This portfolio includes Developer Experience, Delivery Enablement (inclusive of CICD, CICD Tools enablement, and Deployment Automation), and Infrastructure Enablement. In this role, you will have direct impact on hundreds of developers' daily experience and the organization's ability to deliver software quickly (from commit to deploy), safely, and efficiently. This position reports to the Executive Director of Platform Engineering and works within a "You Build It, You Run It" model, partnering closely with engineering teams who build and operate these platform products. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. Product Strategy & Execution
Define product vision and maintain 12-18 month roadmap for Developer Enablement aligned with organizational objectives and industry best practices Own and prioritize backlog for Developer Experience, Delivery Platform, and IaC Enablement Write user stories, facilitate sprint planning, and drive elimination of manual release bottlenecks through automated, self-service capabilities Consolidate fragmented CI/CD tooling and champion "golden path" principles
Stakeholder Management & Research
Serve as the voice of internal developers and DevOps practitioners Conduct user research to understand pain points; build relationships across engineering, security, and business units Present roadmaps and business cases to executive leadership; make data-driven trade-off decisions
Metrics, Collaboration & Adoption
Track and improve product health metrics including adoption, user satisfaction, and DORA metrics (deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, MTTR) Partner with Infrastructure, Security, and Engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and technical alignment Drive platform adoption through documentation, training, workshops, and developer communities

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Data-driven decision making and analytical thinking Ability to translate technical concepts for executive audiences Strong prioritization and trade-off decision making Collaborative leadership style with ability to influence without authority Customer-centric mindset with empathy for user needs Strong experience in Modern Kubernetes environments and of the K8 ecosystem (Cloud Native Foundation projects like ArogCD, Flux, GitOps, etc) Delivery experience in Developer Experience IDP platforms (Backstage, serice Catalogs) as well as other enabling solutions like custom CLIs
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of developer workflows, tooling, and pain points Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, etc.) including automation of these platforms for self-service Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, AWS operators, etc.) Understanding of containerization and Kubernetes fundamentals Experience with metrics, monitoring, and observability tools
Education and/or Experience:
15+ years of product management experience, preferably in platform engineering, DevOps, or developer tools 5+ years in people leadership or management Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) Proven track record of delivering complex technical products in enterprise environments Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and cloud platforms Understanding of software development lifecycle and modern engineering practices Experience working in regulated industries or with compliance requirements (preferred)

- The salary range listed for any given position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. If hired at OCC, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, experience and/or education.

Salary Range $154,500.00 - $223,500.00
Incentive Range 23% to 30%
