 Virginia Oncology Associates, the largest group of medical professionals in Hampton Roads and Northeast North Carolina devoted exclusively to cancer care and blood disorders, has an exciting opportunity for a Research Data Coordinator located in Norfolk and supporting our Norfolk location.

 Keeps current all applicable patient reporting and tracking functionsExtrapolates data, completes case report forms, and ensures timely data submission in accordance with SOPsActively prepares for and participates in monitoring and auditing activities.May assist with screening patients for potential study enrollmentAssists with patient scheduling for procedures required to maintain protocol complianceAssists with coordinating patient follow-up visits and timely data submissionMaintains research records in a confidential manner according to all applicable regulationsOrders and maintains research suppliesOther duties as assigned Qualifications
 
 
 
 High school diploma or equivalent requiredMedical office experience required: At least 3 years of medical office experience preferred, preferably in oncologyKnowledge of medical terminology requiredMinimum of one year experience as a data coordinator strongly preferredSoCRA or ACRP certification preferred WORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
