Are you ready to make your mark? If you're a Value Stream Manager, we have an exciting opportunity for you. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire value stream within a Center of Excellence (CoE). Your main objective will be to lead and influence a multi-disciplinary team to achieve operational excellence, ensuring on-time delivery, quality, productivity improvement, cost reduction, and purchased goods quality. You will work closely with the CoE team to meet customer specifications as required by commercial agreements. As a Value Stream Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the success of the CoE and implementing a culture of continuous improvement. What You Will Be Doing
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills by setting a positive example for the value stream team, encouraging collaboration, and fostering a culture of growth and development.
- Accountable for the overall performance of the value stream, which includes safety, quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost. They are responsible for setting and achieving performance targets and ensuring that the value stream meets or exceeds these targets.
- Responsible for managing the value stream budget, capital plans, and staffing requirements. They must ensure that the value stream has the necessary resources to operate efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure that the value stream adheres to all company policies and procedures, including safety rules, work instructions, and documentation requirements.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to achieve departmental and company goals. They must identify areas for improvement and develop and implement plans to drive continuous improvement.
- Responsible for financial performance of the value stream, including margins, operating earnings, and inventory. They must collaborate with sales and strategic purchasing organizations to plan accordingly to meet short term forecast and long-range plan requirements for staffing, capital equipment, and capabilities.
- Collaborate with other departments such as development engineering, manufacturing engineering, HR, finance, and sales to optimize strategies and plans. They must also participate in the product life cycle process via the PLC Gate Process and collaborate with the PMO to ensure the viability of the value stream.
What We Are Looking For
- A bachelor's degree is required for this role
- An MBA degree is preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of prior operations or operational support leadership experience in a manufacturing environment is required
- Strong operations focus with experience in lean manufacturing, quality standards, and contemporary operational concepts and practices
- Ability to design and implement operational strategy
- Solid financial knowledge and leadership skills
- Ability to champion change and facilitate problem-solving activities
- Ability to communicate a compelling vision and sense of core purpose for the organizational unit.
