Your ability to navigate complex technical challenges and communicate effectively will directly shape the success of our technical operations and the satisfaction of our users. **Key Responsibilities and Impact:** * Lead the charge in problem determination and swift service restoration for critical technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
* Act as a primary point of contact, interacting with technical teams, management, and end-users to ensure clear communication and effective resolution strategies.
* Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for processes and procedures, fostering knowledge sharing and operational consistency across the team.
* Champion a culture of continuous learning by actively cross-training and mentoring co-workers, elevating team capabilities and fostering professional growth.
* Resolve business and service-impacting problems, thoughtfully evaluating alternatives and collaborating with senior technical leaders to implement optimal solutions.
* Deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations, clearly articulating complex information to diverse audiences.
* Provide expert technical guidance and follow-up to internal stakeholders and customers, building strong relationships and trust.
* Work both autonomously and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment, adapting to evolving priorities and contributing to team success.
* Proactively assess customer impact and escalate issues with appropriate urgency, ensuring timely attention to critical situations and mitigating risks. **Must-Have Qualifications:** * Minimum of 3-5 years of directly related experience in a technical operations or support role.
* Demonstrated expertise with enterprise scheduling tools, specifically a strong command of Control-M.
* Proficiency in mainframe technologies including JES/SDSF, ISPF, and JCL.
* Experience with job scheduling and automation tools such as CA-ESP and CA11.
* Solid understanding and practical experience with Network Attached Storage (NAS).
* System Administrator (SA) level knowledge of UNIX, LINUX, and Windows operating environments.
* Extensive experience with various file transfer protocols and technologies including NDM, FTP, SFTP, PGP/FTP, and NFS.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management.
* Strong problem determination and service restoration abilities.
* Proven leadership capabilities and a commitment to mentoring and cross-training peers.
* Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
* Adept at gauging customer impact and escalating issues with appropriate urgency. **Nice-to-Have Qualifications:** * Proficiency in problem-solving methodologies and presenting technical information.
* Experience in process improvement initiatives.
* Knowledge of SQL and understanding of database infrastructure.
* Familiarity with network communication concepts, SSL, and LDAP.
* Exposure to big data technologies like Hadoop.
* Experience with virtual machines.
* Knowledge of various database systems including Oracle, MS-SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
* Understanding of backup and recovery strategies, high availability, and disaster recovery.
* Experience with Unix and Microsoft Windows Clusters.
* Ability to read and debug logs effectively.
