ARES is hiring a Navy Qualified Validator to support a critical Department of Defense cybersecurity program. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience conducting system security assessments in accordance with DoD and Navy requirements, including RMF processes, STIG compliance, and cybersecurity control validation. Responsibilities include evaluating system security postures, identifying vulnerabilities, preparing assessment reports, and providing recommendations to ensure adherence to applicable standards and policies. The NQV will work closely with system owners, engineers, and security personnel to maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) certifications and ensure mission readiness.

A current Navy Qualified Validator certification and active security clearance are required.

This position is located in Philadelphia, PA.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
  • 10 years of experience in the cybersecurity field, including support for RMF, control validation, vulnerability assessments, and accreditation.
  • Navy Qualified Validator Certification from the Navy Certification Authority (CA)
  • Minimum IAT Level II certification (e.g., CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, SSCP)
  • Proficient in technical services and analysis with knowledge of cybersecurity standards, principles, practices, and processes.
  • Secret clearance.
