Information and Configuration Management (ICM) Process System Analyst

Join ARES' team in support of NASA on the Kennedy Exploration Ground Systems (EGS) Program (LX) Support Services Contract Three (KLXS III) contract. Under the contract, ARES provides engineering and technical services, program and business management support services and administrative support services to the EGS Program. The contract also includes support for ground systems and spaceflight systems planning and design; project management and integration; operations integration and analysis; technical requirements development, management, and compliance; cost, risk, information and configuration management; and schedule integration and analysis.

Position Summary: Information and Configuration Management (ICM) Process System Analyst position supporting the Exploration Ground Systems (LX) Program, Planning and Control office

Description of Duties: Duties will include development of processes and procedures for configuration management, data analysis and tracking, document preparation, and data/information management for the Operations and Maintenance Requirements and Specifications Management (OMRS) Management, and Recovery Decision Criteria (RDC). Apply Information and Configuration Management (includes Data Management) processing principles, methods, and practices; quality assurance principles; technical documentation methods and procedures; systems security methods and procedures; analytical methods; and oral and written communication techniques sufficient to maintain information management system(s) to meet customer requirements. May be required to review and edit highly complex written and graphical technical materials, including system configuration, studies, reports, and other presentation graphics. May participate in auditing activities to include, but not limited to business audits, functional configuration audits, physical configuration audits, and general process audits. Candidate will be responsible for direct adherence to established guidelines, procedures and policies. Candidate will coordinate scheduling, running, and documenting control board activities with board secretariat personnel. This may include action items and tracking actions to closure. Perform other ICM duties as assigned.

Skills and Competencies:

Required skills and competencies include:

  • Experience processing OMRS change notices (RCN) and waivers and deviations, producing board directives, and assigning directive actions
  • Perform process analysis in support of EGS Program; requires a proven ability to understand various business environments and processes
  • Perform data analysis and documentation preparation. Participates in all aspects of developing and maintaining processes, procedures, forms, spreadsheets, presentations, and functional and data requirements analysis
  • Attend and participate in a variety of meetings and task groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and to maintain a specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and procedures
  • Perform change package management and data management for RCNs to help maintain workflow and to responses to urgent needs
  • Strong data analytical and problem-solving; Organizational management; Leadership skills and ability to work independently in a team environment
  • Advanced computer skills with the ability to navigate the various software functions, e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, a collaborative application framework (e.g., SharePoint), etc., and use the internet
  • Effective communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to communicate concepts and procedures clearly and in an easily understood language.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
  • High attention to detail, efficient organizational skills, and demonstrated follow-through on deliverables
  • Self-starter and self-driven with an ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks
  • Ability to spend long periods in front of a computer terminal examining documents
  • Ability to work as required to complete assignments per predefined schedule
  • Ability to multi-task in changing dynamic environment

Education:

Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) desired and experience in configuration management, data management, business or a related field.

Level of experience:

At least 6 years of related experience in configuration management, data management, data analysis and tracking, document preparation, and data/information management. Desired skills in processing OMRS Requirements Change Notices (RCN), associated board directives, and closed loop tracking of directive actions.
