Security Officer - Commercial Site - Full Time

As a Security Officer - - Commercial Site - Full Time in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more.

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned commercial real estate locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming atmosphere. Your presence and regular patrols will support a secure environment while providing outstanding customer service and communication to building occupants and visitors. Pay Rate: $18.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any unusual activity.
• Communicate with property management and/or tenants as needed to address security-related concerns.
• Complete required security-related reports and documentation accurately and promptly.
• Support emergency response activities as instructed by Allied Universal and site leadership.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and uphold a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
