RFK Community Alliance is seeking a Mentor to expand our Legacy Mentoring program in Berkshire County to provide one-to-one support to participants ages 11-24 who have been commercially sexually exploited or trafficked. A Mentor at RFK Community Alliance would be expected to provide advocacy and long-term consistent support to young victims of commercial sexual exploitation. This position is full-time and has been grant-funded through the Executive Office of Health and Human Services since 2019. Continued employment is contingent upon ongoing grant funding. While future funding is not guaranteed, RFK Community Alliance is committed to exploring continuation opportunities and supporting staff through any transitions should funding ever come to an end. All hires receive supervision and ongoing support from a fellow Survivor Leaders, Program Coordinator and Vice President of Community Services.

This support will include weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly meetings (depending on where a participant is in recovery) with each meeting lasting 1-3 hours. Contacts may occur wherever the participant lives (including in group care, a juvenile justice facility, foster home, family setting, and/or in the community).
  • Provide written documentation for each contact with your assigned participant using designated reporting forms and data collection forms.
  • Work collaboratively with other mentoring team members in developing an appropriate support service, education, and treatment plan for each assigned Mentees.
