Position description

The department of Philosophy [http://philosophy.ucsd.edu} at UC San Diego invites applications for a temporary lecturer to teach undergraduate courses in ethics, history of philosophy, or philosophy in general. This includes leading classes, assessment of student work, meeting with students outside of class in office hours and/or appointments if relevant, supervising teaching assistants, creating a syllabus, and maintaining a class web site on Canvas. The appointments may vary from part time to full time. Position is available starting winter quarter 2026 through spring quarter 2026.


Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Applicants must have a PhD in Philosophy or related field.
