Medical Nail Tech - Rancho Bernardo & Jefferson (Oceanside)

This is a Certified Medical Nail Technician opening. It is a benefited, full time position working 8-hr day shifts Monday-Friday. Located at Scripps Clinic Rancho Bernardo & Scripps Clinic Jefferson (Oceanside). May travel to other sites as needed.

What you'll do:

• The Certified Medical Nail Technician (CMNT) is responsible for knowing their professional scope of practice as defined by the California Business and Professional Code and for successfully completing the Scripps Clinical Core competency program.
• Required to trim toenails, reduce calluses (without blades), reduce nail thickness and to recognize "out-of-normal" nails for referral to podiatrists. This includes assisting in preparing patients for examination/procedures if required by the providers.
• Performs safe cosmetic pedicures on patients and assists the physician in their podiatry practice. The podiatrist markets the nail technician's cosmetic services to the practice patients and the public.
• Maintains a clean, organized and safe environment for our patients.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

• Completion of Certified Medical Nail Technician Program.

Required Certification/Registration:

• BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA).
