Reporting to the Manager of Technical Records, the Technical Records Analyst is responsible for obtaining, maintaining, and auditing the quality of engine and aircraft technical records. This position plays a key role in supporting the acquisition, overhaul and sale of engines, modules and parts.


Key responsibilities



  • Quickly organize and review documents provided in a fast-paced, ad hoc basis into logical information and data structures.
  • Maintain, close and communicate Open Item Lists to external counter parties and internal stakeholders throughout an asset acquisition or sales process.
  • Utilize personal and corporate networks to find needed documents from prior owners, operators and MROs.
  • Develop marketing materials and mini packs for the sale of engines and modules.
  • Utilize a variety of technical resources to aid in the development of technical documentation such as OEM IPC, Service Bulletins, Chapter 5, etc.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the records and maintenance information.



Qualifications



  • Associates degree or 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Specific relevant aviation experience in technical records or closely related quality assurance is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of aviation MRO operations and industry standard documents such as 8130s, NIS, BTB, DFP, disk sheets, etc.
  • High-level of competency with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information both internally and externally.


  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present complex technical information.
  • A bias to constantly improve processes and tools for greater efficiency and quality.
  • Ability to thrive in a high paced constantly changing environment.
