Start Date TBD Contract Fort Rucker AMS Salary Range DOE Posting Date October 8, 2025 Union No FLSA Status Exempt Shift Work Yes FT/PT Full-time Relocation No Travel Possible Job Summary: The Air Force Logistics Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and execution of daily warehouse operations supporting aviation maintenance and sustainment activities. This role ensures the effective receipt, storage, issuance, and accountability of Air Force- managed assets in accordance with AFI 23-101, DoD supply chain standards, and contract-specific performance work statements (PWS). The supervisor leads a team of logistics personnel, enforces compliance with Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) guidance, and ensures readiness through optimized inventory control and distribution. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Directs warehouse operations supporting AF aviation maintenance under the Fort Rucker AMS contract. * Implements logistics procedures IAW AFI 23-101, AFMAN 23-122, FAA, and company directives. * Supervises warehouse personnel and oversees the AF Supply Support Activity (SSA). * Coordinates requisitioning, receiving, verification, storage, and issuance of Class IX and bench stock items. * Ensures conformance to Air Force specifications and technical orders (TOs). * Maintains accurate inventory records using AF-approved systems (e.g., ES-S, ILS-S, GCSS-AF). * Supports demand forecasting and material planning across multiple maintenance sites. * Enforces safety, quality, and compliance standards in all logistics functions. * Monitors attendance, approves timecards, assigns overtime, and manages personnel actions in accordance with company policy. * Ensures team members are trained and equipped to meet AF sustainment and regulatory requirements. * Ensures accountability of government-furnished property (GFP) in accordance with FAR/DFARS and AFI 23-101, including periodic audits and PMSA readiness. * Coordinates with Maintenance Group (MXG), Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS), and Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) to align warehouse support with aircraft maintenance schedules and mission priorities. * Implements and monitors bench stock programs, ensuring authorized consumables are issued under mission-funded sustainment and tracked per AF guidance. * Maintains shelf-life and hazardous material (HAZMAT) compliance, including proper labeling, segregation, and disposal procedures IAW AFMAN 23-122 and OSHA standards. * Executes cyclic inventories, location surveys, and causative research to maintain 100% inventory accuracy and audit readiness. * Develops and enforces Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations, tailored to AF sustainment and safety protocols. * Trains and certifies personnel on logistics systems, including ILS-S, ES-S, GCSS-AF, and Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS). * Supports deployment readiness and contingency operations, ensuring warehouse posture aligns with mobility and surge requirements. * Coordinates inbound/outbound shipments, including Defense Transportation System (DTS) and commercial freight, ensuring timely and secure movement of assets. * Leads continuous improvement initiatives, applying Lean Six Sigma or AFSO21 principles to enhance warehouse efficiency and reduce waste. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience: * Prior supervisory experience in Air Force logistics and warehouse operations preferred. * High School Diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in logistics or related field desired. * Familiarity with AF supply chain systems, warehouse procedures, and regulatory standards. * Ability to obtain/maintain security clearance as required by contract. * Understanding of AF aircraft maintenance support, supply accountability, and quality control protocols. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and AF logistics documentation. Page 2 of 2 Revised 09/23/2025 * Must be reliable, self-motivated, and capable of managing high-tempo operations with professionalism. * Must be able to work evening and/or night shifts as required. * Able to obtain/maintain security clearance as required by PWS. * Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. * Must be able to moves about both inside aircraft hangars and outside on aircraft ramps within close proximity of running equipment and aircraft. * Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining a professional and non-confrontational attitude.
