This position will work onsite during the evaluation period, then either a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite and 2 days remote) which includes a combination of working both onsite at Greenwich Drive and remote or 100% onsite.

DESCRIPTION

Staff Accountant responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of summary and detail information related to Medical Center cash receipts, including Lockbox receipts, electronic funds transfers and credit card receipts, and related reconciliation of external Bank balances to Oracle Cash account balances, including Cash Clearing accounts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Seven (7) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus three years of related experience/training. Related experience as performing cashiering functions, and/or accounting for banking transactions and bank reconciliations for a medium to large multi-entity organization, as well s familiarity with accounting for credit card receipts.

  • Thorough knowledge of accounting function and assignments.

  • Ability to independently gather, organize, and perform accounting-related analysis to complete work assignments.

  • Proven ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing.

  • Thorough knowledge of financial transactions and systems, as well as related policy, accounting, and regulatory compliance requirements.

  • Thorough knowledge of common desktop / web applications.

  • Thorough knowledge of analytical procedures used in accounting projects of moderate to semi-complex scope.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience dealing with accounting for banking transactions and reconciliations.

  • Exposure to accounting in a hospital or healthcare environment

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $71,600 - $127,400 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $34.29 - $61.02

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
