Overview The COLUMBIA Program is Electric Boat's largest and most important construction program and you can be part of the team that leads it! Construction efforts on the COLUMBIA Program are ramping up, and we need exceptional people to lead the program. Construction Program Representatives (CPRs) lead the functional areas of EB with the goal of achieving all program objectives. CPRs are responsible for making and approving critical decisions involving cost, schedule, quality, and continuous improvement. The CPR is also responsible for continuously measuring each functional area's performance against objectives, initiating prompt corrective action(s), and representing EB to the Navy (Ship's Force/SSGR/PMS397) for all program issues. The ideal candidate is well organized, an excellent communicator, thinks strategically while also being able to tactically address issues professionally. The selected candidate is a self-starter, bringing new and innovative ideas to startup of the Groton COLUMBIA Construction Program. CPRs are a direct representative of the Program Manager, and will be the voice of the Program Office to the COLUMBIA deck plate team. This position is a tremendous opportunity to learn about all functional areas of the company, while also contributing to a key enterprise need. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading all functional areas with readiness, execution, and delivery of COLUMBIA Class Submarines from the Groton Shipyard. The CPR will work directly with the Groton COLUMBIA Construction Program Office team to assist in developing a comprehensive and repeatable metrics package that will drive desired behaviors. The selected candidate will work out in front of the production efforts to address new process start-up, reporting capabilities, and project management fundamentals to prevent challenges from becoming issues to the construction team. Cost, schedule, and attainment metrics such as IMCS Data, 3G and 7G reports are the essential tools that will be used to track performance. This is a high visibility position to shipyard and senior leadership. The successful candidate, with experience, will be expected to engage with all levels of management to report progress, seek assistance, and manage activities. Engagement will be throughout the waterfront organizations including Planning, Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, Test, Contracts, Finance, Ship's Force, and SSGR. Overtime and travel to EB facilities at Quonset Point as needed is expected. Qualifications Required:
