This position will be scheduled for 20-40 hours per week, with varied hours between 0400-2000.

Job Summary
Alice Hyde Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Certified Patient Care Technician to support the renowned Wade and Marjorie Hastings Hemodialysis Unit in Malone, NY. This state-of-the-art, 11-station outpatient dialysis center serves approximately 45-47 patients from Franklin, Clinton, and St. Lawrence counties. The unit is ranked in the 95th percentile nationally for efficiency, quality, and patient satisfaction, with exceptional outcomes in anemia management and dialysis adequacy.

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you'll provide compassionate, age-specific care and play a key role in helping patients maintain eligibility for lifesaving treatments. You will work alongside a specialty-certified, multidisciplinary team dedicated to excellence.

Qualifications

High school diploma required; prior patient care training mandatory-dialysis experience preferred.

Completion of training program and successful passing of the dialysis exam required; BONENT certification encouraged.

Must maintain BLS certification; ACLS and PALS required if applicable to assigned duties.

Required education/training updates must be completed within three (3) months of assignment.

Physical & Scheduling Requirements

Must be able to lift 50 lbs., stand and walk for the entirety of the shift.

Requires full visual, hearing, and manual dexterity for working with specialized equipment.

Flexibility to rotate shifts, including weekends and holidays.
