Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Associate

Staffmark is seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Associate to join a fast-paced distribution team in Elk Grove Village. If you have shipping/receiving experience and are comfortable working with warehouse equipment, we want to hear from you!

Pay: $20.00/hr

Schedule: 2nd Shift | Monday-Thursday: 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM

Friday: 3:00 PM - 9:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including shipping, receiving, picking, wrapping, and crating orders
• Safely operate forklifts, side loaders, and/or cranes to load/unload LTL and flatbed carriers
• Process incoming materials: POs, vendor returns, customer returns, damaged freight
• Interact with internal teams and customers to resolve order or shipping concerns
• Maintain inventory accuracy and follow quality assurance procedures
• Coordinate pickups, process backorders, and handle external processing (e.g., galvanizing)
• Order and manage shipping supplies (skids, strapping, labels, etc.)
• Follow 5S and safety standards while supporting a clean and organized warehouse
• Regular lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods (6-8 hours/day)
• Work in various temperature conditions and frequently enter/exit lift equipment

Requirements

• Prior shipping and receiving experience required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse tasks
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Basic computer and inventory control skills
• Willingness to learn and follow standard operating procedures
