The Salesforce Identity team is the trust fabric of the entire Salesforce ecosystem. We provide the foundational services that power authentication, authorization, and user management for every customer, partner, and employee across all major clouds and strategic initiatives. We are looking for an exceptional Senior Product Manager to join our Identity team. In this role, you will own the product strategy and roadmap for a critical suite of features within one of our strategic identity areas. You will be responsible for executing on complex and ambiguous opportunities to improve the customer experience and the business, tackling some of the most important and challenging identity problems for our internal partners and external customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive the product strategy and roadmap for a complex suite of features, from idea to delivery and adoption.

  • Develop a 1-2 year prioritized roadmap for your area, owning milestones for several related projects independently.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Architecture, and other product teams to deliver on V2MOM commitments and critical security and availability programs.

  • Lead your engineering teams to deliver amazing features from your detailed requirements and prototypes, writing clear user stories and managing a prioritized backlog.

  • Engage with customers and internal stakeholders to deeply understand their challenges, gather feedback, and identify additional opportunities.

  • Define and analyze key metrics to measure the success of your products, including availability, adoption, and impact on key business initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Highly technical: You are energized by deep-dive discussions with architects and engineers on topics like distributed systems, API design, and security protocols. This invigorates you, it doesn't scare you.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills: You can synthesize and articulate technical concepts to individuals at all levels and create an environment where stakeholders feel comfortable sharing conflicting viewpoints.

  • Excellent Collaborator: You can work effectively across a large, matrixed organization to understand complex use cases, build consensus, and drive alignment on a unified platform strategy.

  • Detail-oriented & pragmatic: You have a passion for building the right solution and the discipline to drive projects to completion on time, aligning stakeholders to the truth even when it's hard.

  • Proactive & an agent of change: You don't wait for things to happen. You identify opportunities for improvement and lead others through results and empathy.

  • 4+ years of experience in Product Management, with a focus on security, identity, developer platforms, or large-scale technical infrastructure.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Desired Skills:

  • Direct experience working on identity and access management (IAM) products.

  • Knowledge of open identity and security standards (e.g., OAuth, OIDC, SAML, FIDO2/WebAuthn, SCIM).

  • Experience managing products that serve as a platform for other internal or external development teams.

  • Experience with agile/scrum development methodologies.

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $211,500 to $306,600. For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $230,800 to $334,600.
