We are currently looking for a Straightener in the Finishing department at our Monroe NC facility. As a straightener, you will be responsible for straightening a variety of round bars according to customer specifications using manual and hydraulic equipment. This position plays a key role in ensuring products meet quality standards before shipment. This is a 6am to 6pm shift, working on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule. You will work 2 days, have 2 days off, work 3 days; then 2 days off, work 2 days, then have 3 days off. Initial training will take place for 3-6 months and could be on either day or evening shift. Additional Responsibilities Work from Batches and other instructions to operate, set-up and make adjustments to multiple straightening equipment including bump straighteners, hydraulic straightening presses to straightening a variety of round bar material. Visually inspect straightened parts for accuracy to specifications using calibrated tools Maintain all work records using required printed forms or computer programs. Follow and implement all prescribed safety rules and regulations Basic Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Preferred Qualifications At least one (1) year of Manufacturing experience Skills Basic math Basic computer We thrive when the expectations are great, and the barriers are high.
