What this position entails

IntelliScript's Information Technology team is central to our ongoing success and future growth. As a System Architect, you will shape the evolution of our industry-leading software by advancing the technical vision and architectural strategy of the software products on your Agile Release Train. You'll work closely with engineering, product, and business teams to ensure technology solutions are scalable, efficient, and aligned with organizational goals. In this role, you will analyze existing systems, recommend improvements for architecture and performance, establish standards, and provide guidance for new development initiatives.

What you will be doing



  • Software development responsibilities, combined with partnership among business teams
  • Develop prototypes to evaluate new technologies and consider architectural approaches
  • Assess and improve system architecture and performance
  • Participate in design process and code reviews
  • Help design standardizations and structure of current and future development projects
  • Serve as a technical resource for the development team


What we need



  • 15+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience in software architecture oversight, including designing and guiding the implementation of complex systems, with a strong ability to actively participate in hands-on development and collaboration with engineering teams
  • Passionate about building high-quality systems with AWS best practices
  • Experience with domain driven design
  • Experience with microservice architecture
  • Experience with event-driven architecture
  • Strong experience with .NET, C#, SQL, API and service development
  • Experience with React, HTML, CSS and related web UI frameworks
  • Understanding of Agile practices (e.g. scrum)

Location

This position will be based out of the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI; however, this position is open to remote work. Applicants must be willing to travel to the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI for quarterly PI Planning meetings and an annual company meeting. The expected application deadline for this job is October 31, 2025.

Compensation

The overall salary range for this role is $147,400 - $291,840. For candidates residing in:



  • Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia the salary range is $162,140 - $267,520.
  • New York City, Newark, San Jose, or San Francisco the salary range is $176,880 - $291,840.
  • All other locations the salary range is $147,400 - $243,200.


A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc.
