Here's what you'd do:

• The Engineering Manager will drive high-quality, on-time, and on-budget delivery of solutions that meet the rigorous demands while fostering innovation, driving technical excellence, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support enhanced mission readiness.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of engineering projects, from requirements analysis and design to testing and deployment.
• Ensure compliance with defense industry standards, including ITAR, FAR, and cybersecurity requirements.
• Collaborate with program managers, product owners, and clients to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain competitive edge in defense simulation and training.
• Interface with customers, including military and government stakeholders, to ensure solutions meet operational needs.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
• Manage resource allocation, project schedules, and budgets to achieve project milestones and organizational goals.
• Promote a safe and inclusive work environment, adhering to company values and ethical standards.

Pay: $144,300 - $176,300 / year

Hours: 9x80 hrs /week (1^ST shift)

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Electrical or Mechanical or Software.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the defense or aerospace industry.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role.

Preferred Skills:

• Proven track record of managing complex engineering projects, preferably in simulation, training systems, or defense technology.
• Good understanding of defense industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
• Experience with systems engineering, software development, and hardware integration in a defense context.
• Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies and tools (JIRA, MS Project).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Good critical thinking and logical reasoning skills with the ability to solve issues and predict potential programmatic and technical risks
• Experience using earned value management systems to manage a team's cost and schedule performance.
• Demonstrated mentoring and coaching skills, and excellent 2-way communication skills (upward and downward).
• Time management and organizational skills to prioritize concurrent programs and functional responsibilities.
• Proven ability to recruit top talent
