Job Description




As a Security Professional - Access Control Patrol in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license in the job state. What You'll Do:

    Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors in accordance with site-specific procedures.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, contractors, and visitors with security-related inquiries and directions.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and local authorities as needed to address security-related matters specific to the chemical and petrochemical environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Must have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of experience as a security supervisor or manager or 3 years of security-related experience.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience working at sites with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
