Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Asst Dean
III
SPVR for the Dean's Office within the School of Nursing. The Assistant Director of Student Engagement and Wellbeing - Newark will serve as the primary student affairs resource for all undergraduate Newark students within the School of Nursing. Under the direction of the Assistant Dean for Student Engagement and Wellbeing, the Assistant Director will work with all Newark undergraduate students, faculty and staff to create a vibrant and inclusive community, which enhances the overall educational and student experience at the Rutgers School of Nursing. This role is responsible for managing all onboarding and orientation activities for all traditional undergraduate students and all second-degree accelerated bachelor's students.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Coordinates and advises all student leadership activities on the Newark campus, including student government and peer mentors for both student populations.
- Oversees all student programming for the Newark campus , including developmental, wellness and career-oriented programming.
- Oversees all student matters of concern referrals for the Newark undergraduate student population.
- Assists with managing all school-wide programming executed by the department of Student Engagement & Wellbeing, including orientations, leadership advisement, convocation, career fairs, and student award ceremonies.
- Aids the Assistant Dean in managing undergraduate scholarships for the School of Nursing.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- A master's degree in student personnel administration, higher education administration, business, organizational management.
- At least three-five years of experience in higher education.
