Tax Accountant I Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc (HATCI) is looking for a Tax Accountant for our Superior Township, MI facility. This role requires prior accounting experience, along with great knowledge of current law, regulations, and tax requirements. The successful candidate will have a keen attention to detail, be highly organized, and know a significant deal about tax management. WHAT YOU WILL DO Preparation of individual income tax returns Assist in preparation of corporate and state tax returns for multiple states Personal property tax preparation for multiple states Support the preparation of the R&D tax credit for return, including conduct interviews and prepare substantiation documentation Support all IRS/State/city/local tax audit, review and examination inquires Assist in preparation of various business-related tax returns and forms such as 1099s, fuel tax credit Aid in resolution of tax notices Company Diners statement reconciliation Prepare operating expense report Prepare contractor OT report BS reconciliation Perform other related duties as required Travel up to 10% of time domestically and internationally HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis. Ability to analyze and interpret financial data Comprehensive understanding of tax return processes, rules, and regulations WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field 0-2 years of job experience Candidates applying for positions with Hyundai KIA must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
