Shift: Days, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Rotating Weekends and Holidays

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Unit Description:

Henry Ford St John Hospital's Admission Discharge Unit (ADU) is a brand new, 13 bed unit. Our patients include individuals preparing to discharge from inpatient units within the hospital, and some overflow for Emergency admissions. Our care typically consists of monitoring and administering final medications, explaining discharge instructions, and seeing our patients off to their homes. As a new unit, we welcome Registered Nurses with prior hospital experience that are motivated to help grow our unit through our shared vision. Come join our team!

• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
