What to Expect
Consider before submitting an application: This position is expected to start around January 2026 and continue through the Winter/Spring term (ending approximately May 2026) or continuing into Summer 2026 if available and there is an opportunity to do so. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program. Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships. International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year. As a FWSW Technical Program Manager Intern, you will be responsible for leading a wide variety of cross-functional projects across energy firmware, system integration, firmware validation, and triage support. What You'll Do
Manage cross-functional software and firmware energy programs (Residential/Charging/Industrial), covering a range of areas including coordination with firmware development and system integration teams, release scoping, design, firmware validation, pilot programs and bringing projects to closure Develop and manage project plans and ensure on-time delivery Be analytical, collect and utilize data to present progress, trends, risks and opportunities for projects Requires leading a cross functional team, balancing multiple tasks, running meetings, creating plans, delivering results, and being a flexible and capable problem solver Work closely with product management, service teams and project field team to effectively coordinate firmware trials, and validation Define and drive the schedule for upcoming new project launches and sustaining programs Constantly work to evolve our processes towards increasing precision and dependability, while still maintaining the agility that has gotten Tesla to where we are now Effective communication will be crucial as you share project status updates, potentially lead scrums and standups, and proactively manage schedule risks
What You'll Bring
- Pursuing a Degree or equivalent in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or related engineering fields with evidence of exceptional ability
Experience managing end-to-end product deployment - from concept through development and successful launch Experience building, developing, and managing highly effective project management tools and processes Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills with ability to work in a highly cross- functionally environment Excellent organization and delegation skills with ability to own the product roadmap and schedule with a track record of delivering projects on-time Ability to inspire confidence in multiple layers of management from executive to associate levels, as the face of your projects Ability to work with limited resources, independently, tight deadlines, and with urgency Exceptional ability to keep simultaneous projects moving forward Preferred: Past internship experience in engineering field. Proficient with MS Office including project, PowerPoint and other program/project management tools Familiarity with firmware and software system development concepts

Expected Compensation
$20.00 - $50.00/hour + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
