Project Engineer - Traffic Planning

Colliers Engineering & Design is looking for a passionate Project Engineer to join our dynamic Traffic Planning group at our Gilbert, AZ office! • Apply broad knowledge of principles and practices in a specific area.
• Independently evaluate, select and adapt standard techniques, procedures and criteria.
• Design complete projects, systems, components or processes.
• Prepare advanced general and basic non-routine engineering designs and/or technical data for completion and accuracy.
• Prepare complete project documents.
• Analyze and interpret data, formulate and solve problems.
• Prepare scopes of work, budgets and schedule assignments.
• Assist with proposal development for professional services.
• Provide direction to engineers, technicians and administrative staff.
• Plan and coordinate detailed aspects of engineering work.
• Attend meetings and present specific components of assignments.
• Work within AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation to complete projects within established budgets and deadlines.
• Perform field investigations/ site visits as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required.
• 4+ years of transportation/traffic engineering experience required.
• PE license in AZ or through reciprocity is also required.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation and other related software packages.
• Demonstrate advanced, general and basic non-routine knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, principles and practices.
• Demonstrate advanced technical and nontechnical writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
