What to Expect
As an Infrastructure Engineer on High Voltage Validation, you will have the opportunity to develop cutting-edge infrastructure to help accelerate the development of battery management and charging systems for Tesla vehicles. By working on simulations and hardware, the team gets the opportunity to work on early development of Tesla's upcoming features and products. In this role, software engineering meets electrical engineering as you write powerful & scalable software to simulate and control complex electrical systems. What You'll Do
  • Develop software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) infrastructure for rapid prototyping, simulation, and validation
  • Help Tesla continue to scale up operations by integrating SIL and HIL platforms with continuous integration systems
  • Contribute to the definition of Tesla's future vehicles and features by writing and reviewing High Voltage System requirements
  • Understand and deconstruct complicated software systems to devise validation strategies and test plans
  • Design innovative systems to improve the quality of Tesla products through validation coverage and data visualizations

What You'll Bring
  • Fluency in C++/C with excellent software design & architecture skills
  • Proficiency in a common scripting language like Python
  • Experience with electronic systems, circuits, reading schematics, and interpreting layouts
  • Strong intuition for and interest in designing systems for testability & scalability
  • Knowledge of source control (Git), continuous integration (Jenkins), and Linux is preferred
  • Experience with low-power or high-power battery & charging systems is preferred
  • Experience with PCB/board bringup or PCB Fabrication/Schematic Capture, HDL coder, Embedded coder, and Simulink/Simscape is preferred
  • Experience with RTOS, microcontroller peripherals to go with embedded systems concepts (CAN, SPI, I2C, TCP/IP) is preferred
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability

    Expected Compensation
    $133,440 - $292,800/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
