Description

This a contract-to-hire position, where the selected candidate can expect to work on a contract/temporary basis for about ~6 months, with the potential opportunity to become a permanent Leidos employee after the temporary period.

Leidos Engineering is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join our Strategic Program Consulting team within our Power Delivery Solutions division. In this role, you will work alongside engineering managers and account managers to provide Project Management Services supporting a large electric utility client. You will work with a diverse blend of Capital Transmission/Substation projects in the greater Seattle WA area.

As a Project Coordinator in our Strategic Program Consulting group, you'll play a role in driving creative project management solutions for Leidos' utility customers. You can expect to:

  • Assist project management teams in planning, organizing, and managing various projects, providing detailed data to support decision-making
  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules
  • Track milestones, deliverables, and resource assignments
  • Set up and manage project collaboration tools amd help enhance team and process workflows
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project reports, dashboards, and KPI tracking
  • Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports for internal review
  • Track and report project costs, risks, and schedules, assisting in the development of recovery plans when necessary
  • Facilitate meetings by preparing agendas, taking meeting minutes, and tracking action items to ensure follow-up and completion
  • Ensure all work products meet internal quality, documentation, and recordkeeping standards.

Required Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or other related field required
  • 3+ years of demonstrated, relevant experience in an adminstrative and/or project coordinating/project management setting

Technical Skills needed for this role:

  • Experience with MS Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Workfront, MS Project or P6) is preferred

Soft Skills that will help you succeed in this position:

  • Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking capabilities are required to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Location:

  • Hybrid office attendance in Seattle (2-3 days in office, remaining days work from home)
