TITLE

Program Coordinator - Center for Women Entrepreneurs

JOB SUMMARY

Performs responsible administrative duties for the CWE. Responsibilities include Participates in the center events including but not limited to support to the program director, and social interaction both online and in person. Handles marketing and social media for the center. Scheduling for podcast room. Work is performed under general supervision and performance is based upon completion of assignments and results obtained. The performance evaluation is conducted through the performance evaluation system and in accordance with the University Policies & Procedures.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to: Director, Center for Women Entrepreneurs

Supervises: No supervisory responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES - May include, but not limited to the following:

  • Creates social media content using Canva.

  • Skilled at scheduling, posting and community engagement.

  • Handles event management and creation

  • Ability to develop engaging, original content

  • Ability to coordinate logistics for hybrid and in person events.

  • Identify and collaborate with speakers.

  • Set up meeting rooms and event spaces.

  • Updates events, clients, grant winners, and contacts into CRM.

  • Strong writing and editing skills and consistency in brand messaging.
  • Maintains good public relations.
  • Answer incoming phone calls.
  • Assists with event registration and attendee communication

  • Coordinates catering orders and room reservations.

  • Maintains event calendars and send meeting reminders.

  • Assists with event logistics and cleanup.

  • Support workshops and training sessions.

  • Enters basic information into databases and tracking system.

  • Maintains accurate records of program participants and activities.

  • Updates contact lists and mailing databases.

  • Ensures that support services are provided to the program and community.
  • Anticipates needs of the program and develops recommendations for fulfilling these needs.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Performs other duties as requested.

  • Ability to utilize various social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube).

  • Ability to work under pressure and autonomously

  • Ability to provide administrative guidance within the area of responsibility, providing direct training and supervision as needed.

  • Ability to communicate effectively - orally, by phone, in person, and in writing.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects.

  • Familiar with entrepreneurship development

  • Ability to provide attention to detail.

  • Working knowledge of office practices and methods.

  • Familiar with Eventbrite, Constant Contact, Canva platforms

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with management, clients, faculty, staff, students, and the public.

  • Excellent organizational, planning & analytical skills.

  • Knowledge of modern program administration practices, the methods, resources, and standards thereof.
  • Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgement based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities.
  • Ability to use a personal computer and other office equipment, including related university software and email.

EDUCATION

Associate or bachelor's degree in an area generally related to program content, marketing, or business. Additional job-related experience/and/or education may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

EXPERIENCE

Two years of experience in content creation, marketing, podcasting or social media.

REQUIREMENT

Regular and reliable attendance at the University during regular scheduled days and work hours is an essential function of this position.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee may be required to travel. The employee is required to work evenings and weekends.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Employees are responsible for completing assigned tasks safely and efficiently, and supervisors are responsible for creating and maintaining a safe work environment. Supervisors and employees should ensure that injury/accident reports are submitted to the Office of Human Resources and Risk Management within 24 hours of the incident.
