SUMMARY

The clean / processor is responsible for manufacturing vinyl by using the right equipment. The individual must be able to fulfill cutting orders by using the proper machinery.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Comply with Westlake Safety Policies.
  • Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility.
  • Unload finished frames.
  • Sash frames to be cleaned.
  • Make sure to check out the frame prior to cleaning the frame.
  • Inspect vinyl for any defects.
  • Scribes around pattern or along straightedge, using cutting tool.
  • Perform duties that require the use of specific machines.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities requested by the supervisor.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a production/manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Basic mathematical calculations.
  • Must be able to read tape measure accurately.
  • Ability to use hand tools.
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work independently and use good judgment.
  • Read, write, speak English, Spanish is a plus.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Prolong standing for up to 12 hours performing shift work or in a stationary position.
  • Bend or twist.
  • Complete repetitive movements.
  • Handle, control or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Lift/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Remove or replace items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ascend or descend stairs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Be exposed to temperature extremes inside or out.
  • Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable.
  • Wear all the required personal protective equipment.
  • Work in constant noise above 85 decibels.
