Supporting a project team through consistent process execution

You will work on project team to gain critical skills and experience while providing support to multiple processes during a project's life cycle.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Your top priority is to support your projects' leadership and mastering project tasks to drive accuracy towards the successful completion of a curtainwall project.

SUPPORT PROJECT EXECUTION

Strategic planning: Tracks team priorities and ensures their alignment with larger goals through all project processes. Update and modify project schedules on the project team's behalf. Set up meetings for key leaders/clients.

Assist with staffing: Understands established work/staffing plans for each phase of the project and assist in coordinating with sub-contractors.

Organize equipment: Rent and manage equipment procurement. Initiate purchase orders.

Own documentation: Maintain accurate records during all phases of the project including contract review, kickoff, negations, design assist, engineering, buyouts, major material purchases, sub-contractors' meetings, and financial reviews. Maintain all records including, time keeping, and field project files.

Time management: Effectively manage and prioritize a high volume of meetings, communications, commitments, and project duties. Work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines.

Drive compliance: Seeking and issuing appropriate legal paperwork such as contracts and terms of the agreement. Ability to monitor and check work or information and organizes time and resources efficiently.

SUPPORT FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

Financial competency: Can prepare and understand weekly and monthly financial reports in alignment with Harmon's best practices. Contributes to field means and methods and other reports to communicate up to date project financial results.

Data collection and analysis: Report on weekly job progress, reporting accurate quantities installed and labor hours performed timely for job costing purposes. Collects all the relevant information and data to provide opportunities for critical analysis.

Drives safety culture: Participate in project safety and implementation of Zero Injury Program. Takes action to evaluate and minimize risks to the company and its employees.

SUPPORT PROJECT LEADERSHIP

Maintain and build relationships: Working cooperatively with project managers and field teams to eliminate obstacles.

Communicating effectively: Acting as a liaison between clients and contractors and subcontractors and communicating project status to all participants.

Testing quality: Ensuring that all standards and requirements are met by conducting quality assurance tests, mock ups, and equipment reviews.

Navigates decisions: Overseeing and monitoring construction project progress, day to day, and tackling/escalating any issues that may arise. Acts with a sense of urgency.

Teamwork: Embraces a shared understanding of team participation roles, responsibilities, and decision making

EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent industry experience.

  • 1-3 years experience in project management or a related field

  • Some construction project experience preferred
