We are looking for an experienced Computer Systems Engineer - React Developer with Pega Expereince to join the National Airspace System (NAS) Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) to support the Federal Aviation Administration in the Washington DC Office. As a Computer Systems Engineer - React Developer with Pega experience, you will play a crucial part in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions as well as operational support to the program.

The React Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing user interfaces for web applications, with a focus on integrating these interfaces with Pega-based business process management (BPM) solutions.This role requires a strong understanding of both React.js for front-end development and the Pega Platform for back-end process and data management.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain responsive and interactive user interfaces using React.js and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and Pega developers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and implement front-end solutions that seamlessly integrate with Pega applications.
  • Leverage React to build modern, custom front-end interfaces that integrate with Pega-based applications. This role combines strong front-end development skills with deep knowledge of the Pega platform's integration capabilities.
  • Develop and integrate custom components and UI elements within the Pega UI framework, ensuring adherence to best practices and design standards.
  • Work with Pega developers to define and implement integrations between React front-ends and Pega services (e.g., REST APIs, data pages).
  • Optimize front-end applications for performance, scalability, and accessibility across various devices and browsers.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues related to both React and Pega integrations.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in both React and Pega development to propose and implement innovative solutions.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Requires BS degree and 8 - 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 - 10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing web applications using React.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Strong understanding of React concepts, including component-based architecture, state management (e.g., Redux, Context API), and hooks.
  • Experience with Pega Platform development, including Pega PRPC, Pega UI components, and Pega integration capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Pega case management, process flows, and data models.
  • Experience with RESTful API integration and data exchange between front-end and back-end systems.
  • Proficiency in using front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Ability to work effectively in an Agile development environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pega certification (e.g., CSA, CSSA).
  • Experience with other front-end frameworks or libraries.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of Pega's Constellation architecture is a plus.
