Security Officer - Access Control Driver

As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Monroe, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional assigned to an access control post within a utilities environment, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the location. Your visible presence and commitment to exceptional customer service will contribute to a welcoming and professional atmosphere for everyone onsite. This position requires a valid driver's license as driving responsibilities are part of the role. What You'll Do:

• Perform access control duties at the location, monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
• Carry out security-related procedures and adhere to site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and the client site.
• Provide courteous customer service to all personnel and visitors, assisting with any access inquiries or concerns.
• Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business and perimeter to observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns.
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and the client site guidelines.
• Support emergency response activities as needed and assist first responders by providing access or information as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
