The Role

The Broadband NOC Manager oversees the operational performance and strategic direction of the Broadband NOC and ONA teams. This role ensures network reliability, manages escalations, and drives continuous improvement in service delivery and infrastructure support.

Provides direction, monitors workload and manages performance target achievement for a team of non-represented employees through daily communication, problem solving, and proactive monitoring of team performance. Responsible for customer follow up, facilitates difficult calls, ensures internal reporting and performance metrics, provides status appropriately using internal systems, and demonstrates expertise with all Service Assurance processes and procedures for creating and managing service related trouble tickets on product line. Responsible for leading leaders of people with a focus representing approximately 40% strategic, 30% tactical and 30% operations.

The Main Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership & Oversight
    • Manage daily operations of the LC Broadband NOC and ONA teams.
    • Coordinate with other NOC managers (e.g., Ethernet and Transport NOC) to ensure seamless cross-functional support.
    • Participate in hiring and onboarding processes, including job description development and interview coordination.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Lead process development and documentation efforts.
    • Oversee ticketing workflows (e.g., WFMT, BPM/GCRs, WMS, and Ops Console) and ensure accurate documentation of outages and escalations.
  • Incident Management
    • Serve as escalation point for large scale network outages and customer-impacting events.
    • Coordinate with NOC peers and field teams to resolve issues and communicate updates in a 24/7/365 environment.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration
    • Work closely with peers across departments (e.g., Ethernet NOC, Transport NOC, Planning & Engineering, and Regional FOPs) to align on priorities and share best practices.
    • Participate in internal reviews and feedback loops for process improvement.
What We Look For in a Candidate
  • Proven experience in NOC operations and team management.
  • Strong understanding of broadband infrastructure and DSL technologies.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage escalations effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering or a related field or the equivalent in training and experience.
  • 6+ years of related experience with communications networks. Minimum of 3+ years of management experience
  • Ability to act with a sense of urgency and consistently demonstrate leadership and a high level of engagement with supervisors and team members.
Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$103,711 - $138,281 in these states: FL LA
