About the Role We are seeking an intern for our Solid Waste practice in Washington, based in Bremerton, Seattle, or Spokane. This team is focused on providing solid waste management and planning, as well as landfill and transfer station operation services. Solid waste services include facility planning and design, system and facility operational support, permitting assistance, landfill siting and development, landfill closure and groundwater, surface water, and landfill gas monitoring systems. As an intern, you'll have the chance to contribute to projects, receive dedicated mentorship, connect with fellow interns, and participate in valuable learning experiences, including project site visits. We aim to create a collaborative cohort environment where you can expand your network and gain insights beyond your specific role. You Will: Assist with planning and designing activities for solid waste management projects under the guidance of project managers and engineers. Gather, research, analyze, and prepare project-related information, including site assessments, environmental studies, and civil engineering reports. Participate in site visits, inspections, and surveys, assisting with data collection, field analysis, and documentation. Take part in training sessions and workshops and contribute ideas to process improvement and innovation initiatives. You Have: A major focused in Civil or Environmental Engineering Experience using CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D You Are: We are looking for students who are curious problem solvers, ready to learn, take initiative, and contribute to real projects. You enjoy collaborating with others, thinking creatively and analytically, and seeing ideas come to life. You are adaptable, dependable, and excited to grow your technical skills while exploring where you want to go professionally. Compensation Information: Hourly rate for this position is in the range of $24-$30+ per hour depending on education, experience, location, and role. Compensation is determined by factors such as education, experience, location, and role. We conduct an equity review for all positions.
