Full-time Faculty Positions Full-time faculty positions will be posted on a per-opening basis. Postings are organized by college/school and department. Individuals may enter expressions of interest by submitting their credentials to any posting for which they are qualified to teach. Postings are organized by college/school and department. Screening of individuals in the pool is ongoing, depending on curricular need and funding. Individuals will be contacted by the department if they reach the finalist stage for teaching a particular course or set of courses. The pool will remain in place until the closing date specified in the posting details; those interested in remaining in the pool beyond that time must resubmit. The Department is looking for a quantitative or mixed-methods scholar with a primary interest in immigration and a secondary interest in gender, stratification, the practice of social work, or the dynamics of non-profit/non-governmental organizations. The candidate should be prepared to teach courses in their subject area, as well as contribute to the core curriculum, teaching both statistics and social research methods in the undergraduate and graduate programs. A PhD in sociology is required; ABD candidates will be considered if they have a conferral date in the first year of employment. The interview process will include teaching one class session to undergraduate students, most likely either Introduction to Sociology (SOC 101) or Social Problems (SOC 105), and meeting with undergraduate and graduate students in the program. Additionally, candidates will be required to give a research presentation. Review of applications will begin November 3, 2025, and will continue until the position is filled.
