Gate City Bank is seeking a motivated and community-minded Mortgage Loan Officer to join our team. In this role, you will build strong relationships with customers, real estate professionals, builders, and other referral partners. You will provide expert guidance on mortgage lending products and services, ensuring an exceptional customer experience while meeting established lending goals and supporting the continued growth of the Bank.

We are looking for a driven sales professional who is dedicated to delivering excellence, committed to their community, and energized by helping customers achieve their homeownership dreams.

What You Will Do

• Build relationships and proactively identify mortgage lending opportunities through community involvement, networking, and outreach activities.

• Conduct thorough customer interviews to assess financial needs, provide education on mortgage products, and offer tailored solutions.

• Complete accurate and compliant loan applications, partnering closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth process from start to finish.

• Stay current on policies, procedures, regulations, and market trends to ensure high-quality lending decisions.

• Demonstrate urgency and professionalism in gathering documentation, responding to inquiries, and moving loans through the pipeline.

• Support the achievement of personal and team production goals.

• Represent Gate City Bank as a trusted partner in the community, participating in events such as home-buyer seminars, real estate industry functions, and Home Shows.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree preferred; or equivalent education and 3-5 years of related sales or lending experience.

• Proven ability to build strong relationships and deliver exceptional customer service.

• Strong communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment and accuracy.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort learning new software systems.

• Community involvement and passion for helping customers succeed.
