What You'll Do:

• Perform access control duties at the location, verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Provide customer service by communicating site-specific policies and responding to inquiries from personnel and visitors.
• Carry out security-related procedures and protocols, including checking identification and handling visitor registration in accordance with site guidelines.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business property and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related threats or unauthorized activities.
• Observe and report any irregularities or security-related issues to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or site contacts as required.
• Assist in maintaining a secure environment for employees, contractors, and visitors in a chemical and petrochemical facility setting.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the TSA is required.
• Experience in access control and/or badge procedures is preferred.
• A Security Professional Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
