Job Description




As a Security Professional - Unarmed Patrol in Hilo, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while your commitment to exceptional customer service will foster positive interactions throughout the facility. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergency situations when necessary.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any unusual activities or potential hazards encountered during patrols within the healthcare location.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal team members, site staff, and public officials as needed.
  • Maintain detailed records and logs of patrols, incidents, and any interactions according to site requirements.
  • Provide assistance and support during emergency response activities, following established protocols for the healthcare environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
