The Lucida Project is a precision medicine like project that plans to collect surveys, blood and stool on 1500 Wisconsinites over a 2 year enrollment period. The research specialist for this project will be responsible for working collaboratively with a cross functional team in developing study process. The candidate should be highly organized, be nimble to ongoing change and have previous research coordination experience.

This position can be full or part-time, between 80-100%.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Operates, cleans, and maintains organization of research equipment and research area. Tracks inventory levels and places replenishment orders
  • Participates in the development, interpretation, and implementation of research methodology and materials
  • Conducts research experiments according to established research protocols with moderate impact to the project(s). Collects data and monitors test results
  • Performs literature reviews and writes reports
  • Reviews, analyzes, and interprets data and/or documents results for presentations and/or reporting to internal and external audiences
  • Provides operational guidance on day-to-day activities of unit or program staff and/or student workers

Compensation:

The typical starting salary for this position is $44,543 - $54,120 with final salary based on experience and qualifications.Employees in this position can expect to receive benefits such as generous vacation, holidays, and sick leave; competitive insurances and savings accounts; retirement benefits. Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working in team environments
  • Experience conducting research with human subjects
  • Ability to coordinate study visits and manage schedules
  • Ability to manage participant data
  • Skill in preparing research materials, such as flyers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with populations with mental health conditions
  • Experience conducting clinical trials research
  • Familiarity with community outreach and engagement activities
  • Experience with social media and website updates for research communications
  • Experience with REDCap data base
  • Experience managing undergraduate students

Education:

Associates Degree required
