In collaboration with Attending Oncologists, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) conducts independent follow-up survivorship visits, new survivorship visits, and procedures for surveillance. Acts as a liaison and collaborates with the multidisciplinary care team. Provides patient/family and staff education. Supports the development and revision of divisional policies and procedures. The primary focus is on providing direct and indirect patient care to manage the healthcare needs of the identified oncology patient population, including survivorship. Also provides care using advanced practice skills in physical exam, diagnosis and treatment. Participates in and/or initiates research. The NP will provide routine care and management of Head & Neck oncology patients, in collaboration with other health care team members. Responsible for providing excellent patient care, offering a high level of compassion and comfort, and discussing pain and symptom management to develop the patient's plan of care. Demonstrates a high level of professionalism, excellent verbal and written communication skills and leadership core competencies. Has the ability to function as part of an interdisciplinary team. Has the ability to understand the medical as well as psychosocial needs of a patient population with cancer. Will work with and evaluate patients on clinical trials. May perform procedures.  Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $167,687 - $234,649 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $80.31 - $112.38 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
