Could you be the full-time onsite Mechanical Manager in Sanford, FL, US we're looking for?

Your future role

"Take on a new challenge and apply your mechanical and operational leadership expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside dedicated and collaborative teammates.
You'll ensure the safe and efficient operation of mechanical activities, driving reliability and quality in service delivery. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, customer liaison, and maintenance operations), oversee departmental performance and compliance with regulations, and much more."

We'll look to you for:




  • Planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and coordinating the safe and efficient mechanical operations activities. ,



  • Supervising the performance of the department, including equipment reliability, property management, and transportation for a twenty-four/seven service contract operation. ,



  • Directing and administering supervisory and technical staff to ensure quality and timely delivery of maintenance operations. ,



  • Ensuring timely delivery of equipment to the customer to maintain uptime availability of rolling equipment. ,



  • Serving as a liaison with the customer and Alstom to ensure quality service is provided. ,



  • Ensuring all jurisdictional specifications, standards, Federal/State or Province regulations or laws, and BTNA policies are adhered to and communicated effectively to employees. ,



  • Supervising, hiring, monitoring, and coordinating work activities of direct reports. ,



  • Controlling expenditures in accordance with the budget and reviewing and authorizing purchases of supplies, services, and equipment. ,



  • Learning and utilizing new software applications such as Maximo and SAP to enhance operational efficiency. ,



  • Applying advanced knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with Title 49 CFR rules and regulations in the passenger rail industry."

  • Degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering, or Business Administration (preferred). ,



  • Experience or understanding of locomotive mechanical and/or electrical maintenance and troubleshooting. ,



  • Knowledge of Title 49 CFR rules and regulations in the passenger rail industry. ,



  • Familiarity with managing complex administration departments and assets. ,



  • Classroom facilitation and/or training experience in an adult education environment (preferred). ,



  • Advanced experience with MS Office. ,



  • Ability to learn new software applications such as Maximo and SAP. ,



  • FRA and DOT knowledge (preferred). ,



  • Leadership and organizational skills to supervise and coordinate work activities of direct reports. ,



  • Strong communication skills to liaise with customers and internal stakeholders effectively.
