Security Officer - Logistics Access Control

As a Security Officer - Logistics Access Control in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and support order at a busy logistics and distribution location. Your role will involve monitoring entry and exit points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to promote a secure environment. You will interact with team members and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Assist with access control procedures for employees, visitors, and vehicles entering the logistics and distribution location, following site-specific protocols.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or breaches, maintaining awareness of the surrounding environment.
• Provide customer service by greeting and assisting individuals as they enter or exit the premises, offering directions and support as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to company and site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns.
• Document all access control activities, incidents, and observations in site logs and/or digital reporting tools as required.
• Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal management to communicate security-related issues and updates as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
