Financial Analyst - AICPA Life and Disability Insurance Trusts (hybrid in Ft. Washington, PA, or Chicago, IL)

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Financial Analyst on our team. We are looking for a motivated self-starter with the drive to succeed and grow. This position will support Aon's Affinity Insurance Services group in the AICPA Insurance Trust department.

What the day will look like

  • Review, reconcile, and maintain accounts receivable customer and financial ledgers on a daily basis.
  • Process and apply contribution payments from policyholders and firm administrators, ensuring timely and accurate posting to policy accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to unapplied cash, credits, or billing.
  • Coordinate and manage the monthly billing process for both Trusts ensuring SLA metrics are met.
  • Collaborate with customer service, IT and finance teams to address policyholder inquiries and resolve billing or payment disputes.
  • Manage the workflow queue to ensure all cash transfers, billing mode changes and reinstatements are processed accurately and timely.
  • Support audit requests by providing documentation and explanations for contribution receivables and reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and accounting standards in all accounts receivable activities.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements in contribution collection, cash application, and reconciliation procedures.
  • Provide guidance and training to offshore colleagues on billing, receivables management and all related systems; become the Subject Matter Expert to effectively manage the process from end to end.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • 2-4 years of experience required.
  • Accounting and/or Financial Analytics is required (internship or work experience).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with finance colleagues, customer service representatives, upper management and IT partners.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload, and meet deadlines for SLA's, financial close and reporting requirements.
  • High level of attention and accuracy in processing payments, preparing reports and entering adjustments.
  • Aptitude for identifying inefficiencies in billing and receivables processes and recommending enhancements.
  • Ability to train and support colleagues to maximize efficiency and engagement.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the use of formulas including pivot tables and v-lookups.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $52,000 to $69,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
